Sub – Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp-2014.

Madam / Sir,

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan State Bharat Scouts & Guides conducts State level Rajya Puraskar Test every year. It is conducted simultaneously at five different venues of five Zones. Five teams of examiners both in Scouts & Guides sections respectively are deputed to conduct Rajya Puraskar Test. For the session 2014-15, the Rajya Puraskar Test is proposed from 26^th April to 30^th April 2014. The reporting date for officials will be 24^th April 2014 and for Scouts and Guides it will be 25^th April 2014. Proposed five venues and names of officials are as given below-

Deputy Commissioner of concerned Regions are directed to depute the above officials accordingly.

The Deputy Commissioner of the host region may select suitable Kendriya Vidyalayas to conduct the Rajya Puraskar Test and make all physical arrangements in respect of boarding and lodging of conducting test.

Important Notes:-

1. The Quota of Scouts & Guides of all Regions in Rajya Puraskar remains same as last year.

2. All divisions should conduct a Pre- Rajya Puraskar Test for 03 days and select the regional contingent as per the quota allotted to them for participation in the Zonal level Rajya Puraskar Test. Anyhow, in Pre-Rajya Puraskar test, a Division should call Scouts/Guides not more than three times of their Rajya Puraskar quota.

3. The Application Form, Information sheet, COH & DOB proforma are enclosed. All Scouts/Guides should fill up these proforma and submit at the time of registration for Zonal Level Rajya Puraskar Test.

4. All Divisions should ensure that a screening test at Vidyalaya level is conducted before sending Scouts/Guides for Pre-Rajya Puraskar Test to minimize the chances of any under prepared Scouts/Guides taking part in the test. All eligible Scouts/Guides should be given a fair chance to prove themselves. The selection process should be fair and transparent.

5. All records related to Vidyalaya level test, Pre- Rajya Puraskar Test and Rajya Puraskar Test should be preserved for three years in respective venues.

6. The participating Scouts/Guides should have proper and valid registration in his/her unit and their unit should have valid charter (Group Registration) number.

7. The Scout Master/Guide Captain recommending his/her Scouts & Guides should be at least Advanced Trained and have valid Warrant number.

8. All Divisions should send their contingent duly escorted by trained Scout Masters/Guide Captains only. Each contingent will be headed by one Contingent Leader for Scout section and one for Guide section. The Contingent Leaders should be preferably Senior Scouter/Guider.

9. DA, as per KVS rules, for participating S/G shall be paid from the VVN of respective KV and to the escort teachers / Contingent Leaders from the School Fund of the respective KV and it should be deposited to the Principal of the venue vidyalaya.

10. A Registration Fee @ Rs. 100/- per S/G shall be collected. It shall also be paid from the VVN of the respective vidyalayas and deposited to the Principal of the venue vidyalaya of Zonal Level Rajya Puraskar Test. This amount should be spent on making certificates, stationery and other miscellaneous expenditure. If the amount so collected is not sufficient, funds from Divisional Association of KVS BS&G fund A/c of concerned region (venue region) may be released and utilized.

11. Rajya Puraskar Certificates and Test Card (Specimen copy enclosed) should be printed by the venue Division. After preparation of the result, certificates should be prepared for all qualified Scouts/Guides only and it should be sent to KVS Headquarters, New Delhi for signatures. It should be ensured that certificates are prepared within three days of completion of the Rajya Puraskar Test at Zonal level.

12. One day Meeting of all Observers will be organized on 25.02.2014 at BS&G Cell, KVS Headquarters, New Delhi to discuss modalities and equal standard of the Rajya Puraskar Test-2014.
