Item No. I: The Receipt and
Expenditure Statement was tabled in the meeting.
Item No. II: The re
constitution of the Divisional Association of BS&G was undertaken in view
of shifting of 11 KVs of Jammu Region to Chandigarh and Sirsa Regions. The
amended list of distribution of KVs is given as under. The appointment of
different office bearers will remain effective till further modifications or
the end of the Session. The list of officials is attached in Annexure-I.

Item No.III: The committee reviewed the Scouting & Guiding activities
and achievements undertaken in the Region during the recent past.
The
Chair appreciated the conduct of-
* Cub Bulbul Utsav at Cluster level, * Tritya
Sopan Testing Camps at KV 2, Srinagar; Bantalab; Miran Sahib; No.2, Pathankot;
Bhanala; Suranussi and No. 2, Adampur; *Pre- Rajya Puraskar and Rajya Puraskar
Testing Camps at KV No.1, Amritsar; *Basic Training Courses for Scout Masters,
Guide Captains, Cub Masters and Flock Leaders at KV Nagrota and Dalhousie (at
Banikhet); *Publication of Regional BS&G News Letter etc. * Participation of Teachers of Jammu Region
in the courses like HAM Station and Amateur Radio Programmers’ Course, Map
Making and Star Gazing Course, Organizers and Secretaries Course.
*Participation of Sh. Ashok Kumar Principal KV Nangal Bhur in Advanced Training
Course for District Commissioners.
It
was emphasized that the Registration for PM Shield Competition should be
completed upto March 31, every year so that the subsequent steps are taken well
in time.
It
was also emphasized that the census of subscription/ registration should be
raised.
As
per the instructions of the KVS (HQ), the Scouting/ Guiding activities have
been declared as part of the Educational policy of KVS. So, now participation in the Scouting/ Guiding
Activities is mandatory for all the teachers of KVS vide L. No.
F.1100353/11/2011-KVS (Acad.)/ BS&G dated 14.02.2012.
Item No. IV: The issue related to the Uniform Allowance was discussed at stretch. It was approved
that the details of the estimated expenditure on the disbursement of uniform
allowance and the expenditure on conducting activities at Regional level
against the receipt of funds is not proportionate. It will hamper the function
of the activities of the Division.
Any other alternative may be sorted out after correspondence in this
regard, with the KVS(HQ).
Item No. V: It was resolved
that Basic Training Course for Flock Leaders for Jammu and Srinagar Districts
of BS&G, which had to be postponed, will be conducted along with Advanced Training
Courses for Scout Masters and Guide Captains during the Winter Breaks. The
process for the same will be started during the month of October, 2012.
The Meeting ended with the Vote of Thanks to the
Chair.
